Passing a drug test for cannabis can be difficult. Products of the primary psychoactive in cannabis tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is stored in fat cells, which means that it can take a while for the compound to clear out of your system.

Heavy consumers can test positive for the herb more than 30 days after consuming. Regular consumers can expect about 15-30 days, and light to moderate consumers should budget for at least a couple of weeks. The most common type of drug test is a urine test, which is frequently used by employers.
